ANPR is a technology that uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates, creating vehicle location data. It can use existing CCTV, road-rule enforcement cameras, or cameras specifically designed for the task.
ANPR technology is used worldwide by police forces for law enforcement purposes. It can however also be installed within car parks, hotels and caravan sites to monitor and control vehicle movement. We have installed several of these devices, alongside CCTV, to allow access to a site and to control the entry barrier.
